Welcome to God and you and me!
I’m John W. Nichols and this is my blog. My goal is that this would be more than a blog though. I hope this would be a place where you will feel welcome. Welcome to encourage and be encouraged towards loving the Lord, as well as loving our neighbors.
…“What commandment is the foremost of all?” Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ “The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
– Mark 12:28-31 (NASB)
When I talk about the “you” in God and you and me, I really mean you reading this. I will be sharing what God is doing in my life, and I encourage you to join in and share what the Lord is doing in your life too. Let’s bounce things off each other in an environment of encouragement, truth, and love.
If we “have eyes to see” and “ears to hear” we will find that God is working and speaking in our lives regularly. So much so that even if I tried to write down what He’s done for me in a blog like this, I would not be able to capture everything. But, because of all the amazing things God is doing, I wanted to have a place to share some of my part with the world.
Then, those things will not only bless me, but they will bless others. When you share as well, it will foster an environment of faith to see God working in all our lives. When we see that, we’ll give Him the glory and worship that He deserves.
As you contribute here, my hope is:
- That you will be encouraged towards God and led into a fulfilling relationship with Him.
- You will be blessed by the depth of God’s love, mercy and grace.
- That you will see God working in your life. You will hear Him speaking to you. And you will walk with Him into the good things He has for you and the world around you.
- And you will share those things with me and others. Feel free to use the comments sections, social media, and message me. And of course in your daily life share these things with the people around you.
Now that you have been officially welcomed, why not start sharing now? What you share doesn’t have to be well thought out, long, or particularly profound. But in the comment section below, tell us about something God has done recently in your own life.
