7 Keys to Living an Abundant Life with God

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10 NASB). These seven keys to living an abundant life with God boil down to this… Your every day (and every moment) relationship with God is the greatest blessing. I could list passages for days on this, but thought seven was a good number! 😉
Read His Word and Let Him Lead You By It
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
—Psalm 119:105 NASB
Submit Yourself and Be Changed
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
—Romans 12:1-2 NASB
Follow His Leading Day and Night
“The Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.”
—Exodus 13:21-22 NASB
Live According to the Spirit, Not the Flesh
“we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
—Romans 8:12-14 NASB
Although He is Gracious and Merciful, Walk in His Ways
“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
—Galatians 5:16-25 NASB
Ask Him to Reveal How You Need to Change, and Follow His Lead
“Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.”—Psalm 139:23-24 NASB
His Wisdom and Understanding Lead to Living an Abundant Life
“How blessed is the man who finds wisdom
And the man who gains understanding.
For her profit is better than the profit of silver
And her gain better than fine gold.
She is more precious than jewels;
And nothing you desire compares with her.
Long life is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways are pleasant ways
And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who hold her fast.
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth,
By understanding He established the heavens.
By His knowledge the deeps were broken up
And the skies drip with dew.
My son, let them not vanish from your sight;
Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
So they will be life to your soul
And adornment to your neck.
Then you will walk in your way securely
And your foot will not stumble.“—Proverbs 3:13-23 NASB

Im trying to figure out what kind of abundant life God wants for me. I gave my heart to Jesus in April 2014 and He has been working on me since. This year I read the entire New Testament all the way through and I experienced the most growth I’ve had in almost ever. I now identify with Christ.
